வேதமே அனைத்து தர்மத்திற்கும் அடிப்படை என்று மனு முதலிய சாஸ்திரங்களில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது. தர்மமே அனைத்து உலகத்தையும் நிலைநிறுத்தக் கூடியது என்றும் வேத சப்தத்தால் தான் இவ்வுலகத்தை இறைவன் படைத்தான் என்றும் இவ்வுலகின் ஸ்ருஷ்டிக்கும், ஸ்திதிக்கும் , வளர்ச்சிக்கும் வேதங்களே முக்கிய காரணமாக உள்ளது என்றும் உபநிஷத்துக்களுடைய வசனங்களால் நாம் அறிகின்றோம்.
இறைவனது மூச்சுக் காற்றாகவே வேதங்கள் இருந்து வருகின்றன. ஆகையால் இப்படிப்பட்ட வேதங்களை அனைத்து அந்தணர்களும் வேதத்தின் ஆறு அங்கங்களுடன் அதனுடைய அர்த்தத்துடன் அவசியம் கற்க வேண்டும் என்று ஸ்மிருதி வசனத்திலும் சொல்லப்பட்டுள்ளது . இவ்வாறாக வேதங்களை ஓதுபவர்களின் முகத்திலேயே வேதம் உயிருள்ளதாக இன்றளவும் உள்ளதை நாம் அறிந்து வருகிறோம். ஆகவே வேத அத்யாயனம் செய்தவர்கள் தான் இறைவனது ப்ரதிநிதியாக இப்பூவுலகில் வேத தர்மத்தை பரப்பும் ப்ரச்சாரகர்களாக விளங்குகிறார்கள் என்பதை நாம் அனுபவப் பூர்வமாக உணர முடிகிறது. அதனாலேயே வேதமே சிவன், சிவனே வேதம் என்னும் வார்த்தை உண்மையாகிறது. இப்படிப்பட்ட வேதங்களை காப்பாற்ற கடந்த காலங்களில் பல மஹான்கள் பலவிதமாக ப்ராத்யத்தனம் செய்து வந்தார்கள். கடந்த நூற்றாண்டில் நம்மிடையே இறைவனுடைய அவதாரமாக தோன்றிய காஞ்சி ஸ்ரீ மஹாஸ்வாமிகள் தனது தபசக்தியால் வேத தர்மத்தை அபிவிருத்தி செய்தார்கள். ஸ்ரீ மகாஸ்வாமிகளின் க்ருபையாலும் ஈஸ்வர க்ருபையாலும் ஸ்ரீ காஞ்சி காமகோடி பீடாதிபதி ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ ஜயேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகள், ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ சங்கர விஜயேந்திர சரஸ்வதி ஸ்வாமிகளின் அனுக்ரஹத்தாலும் , ஸ்ரீ ச்ருங்கேரி சாரதாபீடாதிபதி ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ பாரதி தீர்த்த மகாஸ்வாமிகளின் க்ருபாகடாக்ஷத்தாலும் சகடபுரம் ஜகத்குரு ஸ்ரீஸ்ரீஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீவித்யா அபினவ கிருஷ்ணாநந்த தீர்த்த ஸ்வாமிகளின் ப்ரசாதத்தாலும் பரனூர் ஸ்ரீ அண்ணா அவர்களின் ஆசிர்வாதத்தாலும் நமது குருநாதர்களான திருவிடைமருதூர் ப்ரம்ஹஸ்ரீ சுப்ரமண்ய ஸ்ரௌதிகள் மற்றும் மாந்தை ப்ரம்ஹஸ்ரீ ஸ்ரீனிவாச ஸ்ரௌதிகளின் கருணையாலும் வேத சாஸ்த்ர வித்வான்களின் வேதோக்த ஆசிர்வாதத்தாலும் பலவேத அபிமானிகளின் திரவ்ய சகாயத்தாலும் நமது சாமவேத பாடசாலை கடந்த 10 வருடங்களாக சென்னை அம்பத்தூர் கள்ளிக்குப்பம் கங்கைநகர் ஸ்ரீ ஜகத்குரு வேதகாவ்ய வித்யாபவனம் என்கிற க்ருஹத்தில் 24 வித்யார்த்திகளுடன் மிகவும் சீரும் சிறப்புமாக நடந்து வருகிறது.
இதுவரை நமது பாடசாலையில் 3 வித்யார்த்திகள் சாம வேதத்தில் உயர் கல்வியான அஷ்டப்ராம்ணம் வரை அத்யயனம் செய்து மேலும் சாஸ்த்ராத்யயனம் செய்து வருகிறார்கள். அதையடுத்து 8 வித்யார்த்திகள் சாமவேத அத்யயனம் பூர்த்தி செய்துள்ளார்கள். இவர்கள் அனைவரும் காஞ்சிஸ்ரீமடம் , ச்ருங்கேரிஸ்ரீமடம் , மைசூர் தத்தபீடம், விஜயவாடா ஜீயர் மடம் மற்றும் அனேக சமஸ்தானங்களிலும் பரீக்க்ஷை கொடுத்து அதில் அனைவரும் முதல் வகுப்பில் தேர்ச்சி பெற்றுள்ளார்கள் என்பது நாம் அனைவரும் அறிந்ததே. மேலும் பல வித்யார்த்திகள் நமது வேதபாடசாலையில் அத்யயனம் செய்ய விருப்பம் தெரிவித்து வருகிறார்கள். தற்சமயம் வேதபாடசாலை வாத்யாரும் மேனேஜிங் டிரஸ்டியுமான ஸ்ரீ சந்திரமௌலி ஸ்ரௌதிகளின் க்ருஹத்திலேயே நடந்து வருகிறது. க்ருஹத்தில் 25 வித்யார்த்திகளுக்கு மேல் 10 வருடகாலம் தங்கி படிப்பதற்கு இடவசதி இன்மையாலும் வேதத்தை ஆலமரம் போன்று அபிவிருத்தி செய்ய வேண்டும் என்ற நல்ல எண்ணத்துடனும் இந்த பாடசாலையின் பெயரில் சென்னையை அடுத்து உள்ள ரெட்ஹில்ஸ்ஸிலிருந்து திருவள்ளூர் செல்லும் 120 அடி நேஷனல் ஹைவே ரோடில் 12-வது கிலோ மீட்டரில் குருவாயில் என்னும் இடத்தில் 1 ஏக்கர் நிலம் வாங்குவதாக தீர்மானம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. அந்த இடத்தில் 100 வித்யார்த்திகளை சேர்த்து அவர்களுக்கு உயர்தரமாக வேதம், காவ்யம், சாஸ்த்ரம், ச்ரௌதம், லௌகீக கல்வியாக உள்ள தமிழ், ஆங்கிலம், கணிதம், கணினி ஆகியவைகளை சிறந்த முறையில் அளித்து அவர்கள் தங்குவதற்கு தேவையான இடவசதி, போஜன வசதி ஆகியவை தரமான முறையில் செய்ய ஏற்பாடு ஆகியுள்ளது. இவைகளை பூர்த்தி செய்ய இந்த பாடசாலையில் பணிபுரிபவர்களுக்கும் இடவசதி செய்ய ஏற்பாடு ஆகியுள்ளது. மற்றும் ஸ்ரீ விநாயகர் ,ஸ்ரீ ராமர், காஞ்சி மகாஸ்வாமிகள் ஆகிய விக்ரஹங்கள் ப்ரதிஷ்டை செய்து பிரதிதினம் பூஜை செய்யவும் தீர்மானம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
பூஜைக்கும் அனைத்து வித்யார்த்திகளுக்கும், தேவையான பால், மற்றும் தயிர் வழங்குவதற்கு ஒரு கோசாலை வைப்பதாகவும் தீர்மானம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது. மேற்கண்ட பணிகளை முடிக்க கிட்டதட்ட ரூ. 2 .5 கோடி தேவைப்படும் என்று எதிர்பார்க்கப்படுகிறது. எனவே வேத அபிமானிகள் இந்த சாஸ்வதமான தர்மத்திற்கு தங்களால் முடிந்த அளவில் த்ரவ்ய சஹாயம் செய்து தங்களுக்கு தெரிந்தவர்களிடமும் தெரிவித்து பலவிதத்தில் உபகாரம் செய்யச் செய்து ஸ்ரீ வேதமாதாவின் அனுக்ரஹத்தைப் பரிபூரணமாக அடையும்படி ப்ரார்த்திக்கின்றோம்.

Parameshwara created the world out of His Lifeline - Vedham. We infer thus that creation, sustenance and progress owe its origin out of Vedhas. Smriti quotes "Vedhaha Sivaha - Shivo Vedhaha - Vedha Adhyayi Sadashivaha" - It is believed that every Brahmin who study the Vedhas with its 6 'upangs' with deliberation is GOD. This is why Vedha Adhyayis who preach the Dharma as outlined in Vedham are called the 'Bhudev' - the Gods in earth.The kings of yesteryears were therefore particular in this sustenance of the Brahmin Scholars and their household. With no kings in the present century it was Shri Shri Shri Mahaperiyava - The God Incarnate through HIS 'Tapo Shakthi' took the responsibility fo safeguarding the interest of Vedha Adhyayanam and Vedic Brahmins.
Owing to the benign blessings of the almighty and with the 'Anugrahams' of 'Periyava' Jagadhguru Shri Shri Shri Kanchi Mahaswamigal, Kanchi Kamakoti Shri Matam Peetathipathi Jaghadhguru Shri Shri Shri Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Shri Shri Shri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal with the 'Kripa Kataksham' of Sringeri Shri Saradha Matam Peedathipathi Shri Shri Shri Bharathi Theerta Swamigal, with 'Prasadams' of Sagatapuram Jagathguru Shri Shri Shri Vidya Abhinava Krishnanandha Theertha Swamigal, with 'Asirvadams' of Paranur Shri Anna and with the 'Karunai' of our Gurunathas Thiruvidaimarudhur Brahmasri Subramania Srowthigal, Mandhai Brahmasri Srinivasa Srowthigal, with the 'Vedoptha Asirvadhams' of Vedha Shasthra Vidhvans and with the bountiful resources of Vedha Abhimanis - a Sama Vedha Patasala has been meticulously and successfully functioning for the past Ten years at Shri Jagadhguru Vedha Kavya Vidhya Bhawanam, Gangai Nagar, Kallikuppam, Ambattur, Chennai - 600 053.
This Patasala now houses 24 Vidhyarthis. Three Vidhyarthis have completed the 'Ashta Brahmanam' - the highest level of Sama Vedha Adhyayanam and are now under-going Shastra Adhyayanam. Eight vidhyarthis have completed and graduated in Sama Vedham. All the above vidhyarthis have proved their credentials with First Class certification from the Prestigious Samasthanams of Kanchi Shri Matam, Sringeri Shri Matam, Mysore Datta Peedam, Jeer Trust Vijayawada and few others. Many more vidhyarthis are keen and look forward to join our Patasala.
However, with the Patasala now functioning in the residence of Shri Chandramouli Srowdhigal, Managing Trustee, for over 10 years with 25 students, has necessitated a large space for the smooth conduct of the activities of the Vedha Patasalai. Moreover, inorder to sustain and flourish the cause of Vedha Adhyayanam it is now decided to acquire One Acre land at Guruvoyil (12 Kms from Redhills Junction, on the 120ft National Highway Redhills Tiruvallur Road). It is proposed to increase the intake of Vidhyarthis and ensure facilities for quality education in Vedham, Kavyam, Shastram and Srowtham. Moreove, adequate and effective arrangements shall be made to educate students in Sanskrit, Tamil, English, Mathematics, Computers etc. The arrangements shall ensure adequate infrastructure for clean and health boarding and lodging facility. To ensure the above, it is also proposed to construct quarters for the staff within the premises. Moreover a small temple with regular pooja is envisaged consecrating Vigraham of Shri Ganapathi, Shri Rama and Shri Shri Shri Kanchi Maha Swamigal. A Goshala is also proposed to ensure fresh milk and curd for regular pooja and healthy nourishment for the Vidhyarthis. It is anticipated that a sum of Rs. 2.5 Crores to create the above infrastructure. Vedha Abhimanis are therefore earnestly requested to contribute their might for this 'Shashvata Dharma' and also spread the message among their friends and relatives to ensure their help and contribution in this noble cause which shall ensure the bountiful blessings of the Veda Mata.
